MAC + Colorama Nails and More Cheap Thrills
Topic: Hauls

If you read yesterday's post, you know how 'blah' I am about Mac's Violet Femme on it's own.  Yesterday afternoon I added a bit of Maybelline's Colorama in Sonic Sunset and I just fell in love.

This Colorama provides bright orange holo flakies that give a beautiful 3D look to the nails.  You can find them in 3 packs at Dollar Trees and it's worth picking up a pack (especially a pack with Sonic Sunset).  Here are the ones that I've been able to find so far:

Also here are some more cheap nail thrills I found at Walgreens: Nivea Soft Creme and Sinful Colors nailpolish in Snow Me White and Love Nails.

The Nivea is a win/win for me as 1) I have always loved the Nivea/Labello brands and 2) I collect little tin containers.   I haven't had the chance to try it yet as I'm currently working my way though several small Nivea Creme containers :)  I imagine this is going to be a lighter version of that Creme, but we'll see.  As for the nail polishes, they.are.great.

Snow Me White is a pure white cream that is thick enough to be used with my new FauxNad plates (scroll down to see what I'm talking about).  To clarify, I'm not wearing it in this pic, I'm wearing L'Oreal Space Cadet on my thumb.  At any rate it was a total score to find Snow Me White, because the speciality white Konad polish is stupidly expensive.  The blue, Love Nails is...just....ok.  I don't really wear metallics on my hands, but it make a surprisingly awesome pedicure.  Then, just to to be cheeky, I used my Konad plate to add a white skull and crossbones to my big toe over Love Nails.   I'm not addicted to Konading yet and I don't know that I ever will be, but it's a fun little secret sin to have a white skull on my toe.

I've only had one dissapointment with Sinful Colors but I think someone had tried it and it dried out before my purchasing it. These definitely hit the spot when you want a new nail polish....also try Sally's Beauty. They had a China Glazes on sale for $2. I picked up some great colors a couple of weeks ago from one of their previous collection. Plus, the Sally card helps with making things cheaper:)

I may well be the last person in America without a Sally's card lol.  I go in once every two weeks or so, yet I'm afraid that if I get the card, I'll end up spending more money.  Oh well - guess I'll sign up sometime this week!
