Topic: Base Coats
I am a nail fiend and because of it, I usually change my nail color about
every two days. To do so quickly, I use pure acetone to remove the polish. Consequently, my nails were not as thick as they could have been. To counteract this, I've switched to Sally Hansen's Thicken Up and its done a remarkable job of making my nails iron tough and super thick.
Things that would have caused breaks or snags before have no effect and even after having used this for only three weeks I am amazed. Its also a wonderful adhesive for my nail color, so it takes much longer for my polish to begin peeling or chipping - bonus!
I found this at my local drug store for $4 and I think that this may be my new Holy Grail of base coats. I'll give it another month, but so far, its love. If you get a chance, try it out and let me know what you think.
