Topic: Exfoliators
Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream is one of two regular line Clinique exfoliators.
The more heavily pushed scrub, simply called "Clinique Exfoliating Scrub," is only intended for tough skins that can handle abuse. Instead, I wish more counters would promote this - the 7 Day Scrub. It has earned its name as it is gentle enough to be used every single day of the week. I find that it gently removes old, flaky skin and works well on dry, normal and oily skin types. While I do like the original "Exfoliating Scrub," its not something I can use very often and I find myself instead reaching for the 7 Day version.
This super gentle product has no smell and is easily removed without having to scrape harshly across the delicate skin on your face (like common Apricot scrubs require). Officially, Clinique claims that it "de-flakes, refines and helps minimize the appearance of fine lines." I don't know about that last part - its a bit of a stretch, BUT it does deflake and polish and I'm very happy with it.
The 7 Day Scrub Cream can be purchased at Sephora and Clinique at $17.50 for a 3.4 oz tube. A little goes a long way and the tube will last you a good, long while. In my mind, $17.50 is a small price to pay for a gentle exfoliant that actually works without causing damage.
Tomorrow, I'll discuss how NOT to be an April Fool when it comes to makeup!
