Review: DDF's Discoloration Reversal Pods
Topic: Discoloration Treatments

DDF is known as one of the most costly brands out there.  While many of their products are worth the high price, not all of them are.  Today I'm reviewing their Discoloration Reversal Pods which claim to reverse age spots, acne marks, scars or any other dark areas (hyperpigmentation) you may have on your face.

You're meant to use this 2x per day and can expect to see results in 3 to 4 weeks.  Each dosage comes in a single use package with a sponge on the end.  Basically you press the pack until the treatment comes out of the sponge, then apply it in circular motions to dark areas of your face.

Pros:  Single use pods prevent cross contamination and provide precise application.  There's little waste of the product.  In terms of reactions, my face will often break out at the introduction of new products, however I had no breakouts with DDF's Reversal Pods. Finally, they do work on recent discolorations.  That is, if you have a mark that appeared within the last few weeks, this will do a good job of getting rid of it.

Cons: Price!  A box of 28 single use pods retails for $72.  At that price point, I would expect a miracle and I'm sad to report that this does little for blemishes/marks that have been around for longer than a couple months.

My advice: If you're going on vacation and expect to have some sun spots that you don't want, pick up a box of these for immediate treatment.  If, instead, you're looking for something to take care of old discolorations, I'd suggest using Clinique's Even Better Skin Tone Corrector which does a great job of lightening marks in about 4 to 6 weeks at $40 per 1 oz tube.  Happy Shopping!

Great review! Have you ever tried Creme De La Mer? It's brilliant.. but after a few weeks, your skin gets used to it and it's like any other cream.

It's like with shampoo, when I use a new brand, it's amazing, then a few more weeks of using it, it's just so-so!

Thanks for stopping by! No, I haven't tried it yet - have you had much success with it?

Thanks for testing this out.  I'm now happy I didn't spend the money after seeing it reviewed in a magazine (that gave it good marks).  I've been reading the user reviews over at Clinique.com and was holding off on the Even Better for that reason.  Oh man, when this no-buy is over my wish list is going to be so long I'll have go on another no-buy...but this is a good thing!

Thank you!
