Look of the Day: Cork and Brown Script
Topic: Eye of the Day (EOTD)
In an earlier post (here), I showed two recent purchases, MAC's Cork and Brown script.  Using those two colors, here's a quick out the door look I did today:

I put Cork all over the lid and Brown Scipt in the crease. I did a light highlight with MAC's Brule. Using Liquif-Eye by Too Faced, I put MAC's Typographic on the upper lash line.  I finished off the look with Neutrogena's Healthy Volume Mascara.

EOTD: Brownie Points
Topic: Eye of the Day (EOTD)

Here's my super fast EOTD using Clinique's select tint in silver lighting as a base.  On my lid I have MAC's Time and Space (from their Neo Sci-fi collection) and Carbon in the crease. 2 colors and boom - I'm out the door!

The following pic was taken w/ flash

There's my quickie - I hope you all have a beautiful and lovely day!

Eye of the Day
Topic: Eye of the Day (EOTD)

Here is my Thursday eye - looking below, you'll notice that I used WAY more colors than necessary lol!

The real workhorse of the group was Lancome's Spontaneous.  I'm falling more and more in love with their eyeshadows and have decided to gift a new one in a GIVEAWAY I'm planning soon.  Keep a look out!

EOTD: Greens and Browns
Topic: Eye of the Day (EOTD)

I'm trying to wear a bit of green somewhere (nails, eyes or clothes) for the entire month in honor of Saint Patrick's Day.  The way I figure it, it's better than wearing green sweater vests...

Here's a look using a ton of makeup products that I never really give enough love to.  I can promise you that, if not for my recent, self imposed, no-buy-use-it-up lifestyle, I would probably have never used some of this stuff.

For instance, as a base I used Clinique's Silver Lighting which is a cream based colored eye primer.   I'd been trying to sell this on live journal forever. Finally, I decided that it wasn't going and I may as well add it into my regular rotation. MAN, I'm so glad I did.  I love it!

The Lavshuca duo was something I purchased just because I thought the packaging was cute.  I may have used it once or twice after buying it. Now, I know I'll be using this more often. Below is a close up image of the Lavshuca duo. I love it and strongly suggest you try to pick it up! It's a Kanebo (Japanese brand) item that you can get online from Adamsbeauty or other international makeup sites.

For my highlighter I used MAC's Claire de Lune as it had the perfect sheen that I was looking for. In the crease, I used a dark brown from a Mally's duo in Sweet Samba and finally, I used  my new regulars: Besame's kohl liner and mascara for the finishing touches.

EOTD and Boxes
Topic: Eye of the Day (EOTD)
Here is my quick, out of the door look for today.  A simple color wash over a base.  I'm trying desperately to use things I wouldn't normally use.

I also want to share a shameful secret with you...I'm a box saver.  I just can't bring myself to throw away boxes until I've completely used up or gotten rid of a product.  This leaves me with tragic situations like this:

Now you know...

EOTD: Normal Blues?
Topic: Eye of the Day (EOTD)

I really, really wanted to use blue eyeshadow for work this week.  Here's how I managed to work it in without it being too overwhelming.

I used Mac's Evening Aura on the majority of the lid over Constructivist Paint Pot.  On the outer corner I applied Prussian very lightly using Steamy as a transition color between the two.  I used the 217 brush to apply each color so that nothing was too harsh. Finally, I tightlined with a soft black kohl.

This is natural?!?!
Topic: Eye of the Day (EOTD)

It occurs to me that it takes an insane amount of product to get a 'natural' look.

  1. Too Faced Wrinkle Injection
  2. Estee Lauder Illuminator / Concealer
  3. Prescriptives Flawless Skin
  4. Savvy Eyebrow Filler
  5. Too Faced Shadow Insurance (eye primer)
  6. Palladio's Nude
  7. MAC's Go
  8. Guerlain Eye Kohl (black)
  9. Shu Uemura eyelash curler
  10. Clinique's High Impact mascara
  11. MAC MSF in Shimpagne
  12. MAC Mineralized blush in Gleeful
  13. Clinique Gloss Duo in Mimosa Blossom and Playful Plump
  14. Miss Dior Cherie Parfume

EOTD: Ulta Quad
Topic: Eye of the Day (EOTD)

I'm really, really trying to use this quad up - it's the Freash Petals (yes, with an 'A') that Ulta released as part of a gift set last Spring/Summer.

I'm very "meh" about the palette, but I'm on this kick where I have to use whatever I pick up or gift it/toss it.

Request: Work looking using drugstore items
Topic: Eye of the Day (EOTD)

As requested I tried to something using all drugstore items, but I had to use a "little" of Mac's gesso.  Realistically, any other white matte eyeshadow will do since I only used a small amount to lighten up the edges.
