Topic: Konad
So I had to go to the mall for a powder refill (HEY - refills are within the rules of my No Buy) and ended up with a few cool things. In addition to the powder I found this nail stamping set at Hot Topic for $5 - it's a fake Konad - a Fauxnad:
The kit comes with two image plates (normally $6 per plate on ebay) and each plate has seven images. Also included are a top coat (crap), a stamper and a scraper. Basically, you take any thick nail polish and paint a couple of stroke over the image you want:
Then you take the scraper and "erase" the excess, now leaving just a colored image behind. Finally, you take the stamper, press it against the plate and then against your nail. Umm...this thing is pretty freaking sweet. Sadly, while I can't wear these to work, I will be doing them up on the weekends. If you can find the Fauxnad at your Hot Topic, get it....otherwise you'll have to buy the real deal for more at wowsocool.com or ebay.
Since I was there, I did pick up something from the Cosmetic Settlement even though I had no intention of doing so. My favorite Makeup Artist (hiya Laura!) "strongly suggested" I get my freebie, which was actually a really great Estee Lauder product:
Finally, Claires like many of the chains in America was shutting down some stores and this one had items at 75% off...I ended up with a HOT pink nail polish:
and an oddly shaped wallet/clutch thing that perfectly matches my purse. 
Oh and I almost forgot - I have a thing for cigarette holders. Even though I don't smoke, I've always loved them. I found this gem for 75 cents:
So yeah - that's it. I went out and came back with a buch of stuff, but didn't spend that much money!
