Origins: A Perfect World Intensely Hydrating Body Cream
Topic: Body Lotions

With a texture quite similar to Bliss' Body Butter, this body lotion has a wonderful scent and gives all day moisture.  I can slap some of this on right after my morning shower and have no need for reapplication until I get ready for bed.

The heavy hitters in the Hydrating Body cream are Shea Butter, Mimosa and White Tea.  The Shea Butters knocks out any dryness you may have and White Tea is universally touted as being able to help even out skintone.  As for the Mimosa - they claim it is meant to help by tightning/firming up the skin, but I haven't really noticed that to be honest.  Still, I find the scent and long lasting ability of this lotion well worth the price tag.  You can pick this up from any Origins counter for $31 (7 oz tub).

Review: Bliss Body Butter - Maximum Exposure Cream
Topic: Body Lotions

I didn't get what all the hooplah was about until I tried it...now I understand.  Bliss Body Butter is a more than a lotion - its a complete body experience.  This lightweight cream totally moisturizes the skin without making me look like an oil slick.  One application lasts for hours keeping your skin super smooth and supple.  I only wish that Bliss' lotions with SPF felt this great.

They come in a variety of scents, but the two I'm most keen on are Lemon & Sage and Blood Orange & White Pepper.   Lemon & Sage comes off a little too sweet (very Lemon Jolly Rancherish), but it eventually settles into a fresh scent.  Blood Orange & White Pepper has a very tart punch that I love from the second I put it on.  They also have a nonscented version for people who prefer to let other fragrances shine though.  Just like anything else, the scent will change depending on the wearer so go to a retailer and try on a couple to find the one that best works with your own personal chemistry.

You can get these lotions from the Bliss or Sephora websites in 8.5 oz tubes for $35.   Bliss likes to throw these into gift sets for a small discount.  A quick FYI though, you'll often find a better deal if you wait for those sets to show up on HSN.  Happy Monday

Review: Nivea Creme
Topic: Body Lotions
Great day in the morning - this stuff is freaking awesome. Rather than get a big overwhelming tub of it, I purchased several of the small 99 cents (adorable, decorative) tins. Awhile back, Nivea brought their scentless, German product to the USA in easy to carry containers that can be reused once emptied. The Nivea Creme is an all intensive, moderately heavy moisturizer that is best suited for dry skins or anyone facing heavy winter weather. Because it runs a bit thick, you'll want to apply it in small amounts, and keepin in mind that a little goes a long way. More importantly, a little lasts hours - HOURS - with no need to keep reapplying during the day or night. In addition to the people I mentioned above, this would also be great for skiiers, people who need unfragranced moisturizers due to work or allergy and those with older skins that need additional moisture.
